Bancaja Sanitat and sign an agreement of collaboration to promote research of health professionals.

The Minister for Health, Manuel Cervera, and the president of Bancaja, Jos Luis Olivas, have signed an agreement Thursday to promote research collaboration of health professionals. Obra Social de Bancaja 90,000 euros to furnish health care professionals (both physicians and nurses) increase the time devoted to research, aid to be coordinated by the Health Research Foundation and the Comunitat Valenciana Biomedica (Fisabio).

As reported, fallen earth chips, by the Government in a statement, this financial contribution is embodied in the aid program through Bancaja second call Boost to enhance research activities of health professionals. A mixed commission will be responsible for approving the call, selection of candidates and granting of aid, as a minimum, will be four.

The first call of the program took place last, Grand Fantasia Gold, year. So, following the strategy of the program promotes, among the beneficiaries of this first edition, there was a collective representation of primary care, nursing and emerging research groups.

The selected projects were about the major current health problems such as cardiovascular disease and cancer. The professional aid benefited Valencian public system, carrying out their activity centers clinic in Valencia, Requena, Xativa, gaia gold, and Elda.

The owner of Sanitat has indicated that the signing of this agreement is "another demonstration of the commitment made by the Consell for health research and innovation, as it has a direct and positive effect on the health of people."

Fisabio establishing a management structure for fostering and promoting research in health and biomedical research within the field of the Region. Its functions were to promote the participation of health professionals in research projects in the financing, administration and management of the research process, and enhancing cooperation through agreements and other forms of concert with the structures of research.

The collaboration with Fisabio is part of the support of the Social Work Bancaja health research through the cooperation with the main rrence in this field. Bancaja destination last year 700,000 euros to the line of support for the formalization of contracts for health and biomedical research which is addressed to young researchers.

The Consell has invested over EUR 185 million in biomedical research since 2005. During this year will spend 23 million euros, an investment "key to further improving citizens' health care and to position the Region as an international leader in research."

The region is the fourth autonomy in scientific production of excellence and has launched more than 1,600 clinical trials since 2005. The Region has 1900 health researchers in the field (over 20,000 between universities, research centers and companies), and 90 percent of research activity is compatible with the care.
